Follow me through my campaign on RSPCA's increased euthanasia problem 2013.
My partner and I are in the beginning stages of this assignment at Uni.... Our brains are buzzing and almost at breaking point trying to collect research, figure out strategies, budgets and work out the theory behind the whole thing WHILE finding time to meet up with each-other.....phew! Alot of work has to be done in a campaign. At the moment we have done the majority of our research and are about to conduct a focus group this week
SKILL UP#2
A focus group is basically a group of people selected from your target public and their ideas are recorded through the method of an open ended discussion (usually involving about 5-10 people for best results). I love doing these at cafe's or anywhere food is offered...incentives are your friend!
Anyway this is what I have done for my focus group so far....
Cover picture above just ads a visual reference for the focus group (An easy summary)

Sarah and Jessica , Third year Public Relations students have been asked to conduct a focus group regarding a hot topic : Animal Euthanasia in Toowomba
We need your valuable and real opinions on how you see this issue in your community. Do you support it? Do you think it's cruel? Do you want to know more facts or be given ways to stop the cycle?
We will be conducting a short focus group on Thursday at 5:10pm at Jamaica Blue at the Ridge shopping centre, middle ridge area. (Will run under1 hour so you can get home to family)
You have been selectively invited because we believe YOU could give us the range of information we are after for our 3rd year assignment.
Your answers will remain COMPLETELY anonymous and disclosed within the constraints of assignment purposes only.
We are providing a free coffee from the cafe to each of our participants and will give you each a small information and goody bag :)
Please RSVP by Tuesday 30th April 2013 if you are able to help us out :)
Your opinions are important to our assignment success :)
Kind Regards,
Sarah
Jessica
