We all love practical and easy ways to get involved in good causes, whether it be donating your spare change in a tin next to the register or liking a page on facebook to build a support network. We are practical thinkers and in our busy lives it's no wonder we want everything to be done, and done well, in a matter of moments, rather then over a series months or days.
Now you're probably thinking what's with the picture of the blue nail polish. A new campaign has been developed for the Food Allergy Awareness cause in time for food allergy week!
Now in regards to campaigns, what more can you ask for then an effective topic, a trending theme and practical but impacting involvement for the public? The food allergy group has got the big 3 and this is what they've done;
- Done their research and identified one main statistic...1/10 suffer from food allergy
- Applied the 1/10 statistic to our hands...we have 10 fingers and 1/10 fingers represents the ratio of allergy suffers
- They have recognized effective spokespeople (the blue wiggle and Peter hellier the comedian) who both bring a humorous undertone to this issue- really implying that painting a nail is cool, trendy and fun because they have done so themselves.
