Internet says 'Wut'

Against every grain in our easily entertained and distracted modern minds....sometimes it pays to look closer at what seems like a simple funny post or picture and decipher what it all actually means.

Not more then 10 minutes ago I was browsing the internet while juggling assignments in forgotten tabs. I came across this picture, had a bit of a chuckle and then got sad. Sad because it was ironically true, and I can't judge whether or not the author was stating that we simply adopt a care free attitude these days.....or that we have actually done a major backslide into prehistoric thinking.

As 21st century inhabitants we have the internet, a plethora of technology, we have professionals in every field and the ability to travel wherever we want. My age group has the most disposal cash every and news cannot escape us in fact, we find it!

Has the presence of social media and technology really damaged our thinking? Are we taking things for granted and simply not learning because we don't have to...it's all there and we only need to click a button to find out that In Tokyo, a bicycle is faster than a car for most trips of less than 50 minutes or that Your body is creating and killing 15 million red blood cells per second!

It made me think what a world without social media would look like, and then I came across this video and Meet the Revolution

Gosh darn! I wish I could be as creative as the genius who developed this presentation! I love love love it... but more importantly it raised a fact..

We havent stepped back into a regressive state, instead we have just transformed our culture and what is important. The question 'What does it mean to be a good person' was an ethical issue back then but today we have the answers and our simple statement of 'What' is purposeful for us because we have so many 'what's' to uncover. What can I do next, What can I learn, What will work, What will happen if we do this, what will help us reach our audience. We have so many things that a specific statement cannot simply categorize

We are still learning... it's all good! : )
